Dream

Underprivileged children are most prone to losing their dreams and aspirations due to their environment. This is why we’re developing an umbrella program called The Dream Project which encompasses multiple projects that foster their aspirations and ignite a fire within them that allows them to pursue anything they please. Our goal is to eventually turn this into a scholarship program for higher education as well.

Underneath the Dream Project will be a sub-project called the Hero Project, which is all about little kids. Younger children require role models. Especially foster children, and those growing up in underprivileged environments, where role models tend to be drug dealers and prostitutes. We work with 4th-6th graders at the YWCA and talk about heroes. We talk about general superheroes and their qualities and then slowly progress into what we look for in real life role models.
